    A huge thank you and very well done to all those who took part in the Redland and Clifton Energised Fun Run and Treasure Hunt over the weekend.

    The RACE project, organised by Douglas Burnett and his team, is part of the London 2012 Inspire programme. They've been using the excitement around the Olympic Games to great effect with a series of fantastic events in the Redland and Clifton communities.

    The Fun Run and Treasure hunt took place on Saturday 12th May - in glorious sunshine - with around 300 people taking part to help raise cash for PiggyBankKids. Here's a snap from the start line of the Fun Run. You can see a few more photos on our Facebook page.

  • What a success!

    The Second Edinburgh Perinatal Festival was a great success last week in Edinburgh. Doctors and scientists - all experts in the fields of obstetrics and neonatology - came together to share and explore their ideas and latest findings.

    A range of excellent speakers from around the UK gave a series of interesting - and entertaining - plenary talks, while up-and-coming trainees and PhD students presented posters and short discussions.

    Delegates came from as far away as the Czech Republic and Spain, and as well as the two days of discussion and debate, were treated to an evening of traditional Scottish entertainment too (including Ian Laing's toast to the haggis, pictured.)

    The feedback received has been excellent across the board, and from us all at PiggyBankKids, a big thank you to Ian Laing and his organising committee for all their hard work.

    We look forward to the next event in 2014!

  • Flowers for a newborn

    We're delighted to have the support of Edinburgh-based Clare Florist who will be donating 10% from the purchase of every bouquet of Baby Girl and Baby Boy flowers to PiggyBankKids.

    If you have a new baby in the family or amongst friends, make sure you congratulate the parents with these bouquets and support our work for future parents at the same time. Spread the word!
